About

My Story

In 2015, my life looked nothing like how I envisioned it. After a series of personal failures, I needed to reevaluate my life and how I spent my time.  A divorced working mother of two, free time needed to be fun, relaxing, and rewarding.  Painting was all of those for me.

What began as a hobby turned therapy, painting evolved into an offering for friends and family.  A friend told me how changing the esthetics of her space with art, set the tone for the mood and energy in every room.

Earning a second bachelor degree in fine art wasn't an option so I studied art history, color theory, and painting techniques on my own. With guidance from veteran artist and designer Allan Swerdloff as my mentor, I developed the paint brush and airbrush techniques I use today.  Acrylic medium on canvas and wood panels is the playground from which our prints are designed.

Since launching we've added complimentary Home Decor products sourced from nations across Africa.  Penti Gallery supports suppliers who follow Fair Trade Federation practices and who have a shared interest in the personal success of the hardworking African Artisans, producers, and makers of the products we offer.
